Artist Point

Artist Point is the highest destination in Washington state. In this map you start at sea level at the Harley-Davidson dealership in Bellignham and end en up in the saddle between two of our most beautiful mountains: Shuksan and Baker.

The last leg of this ride is above the Mount Baker Ski Area and is normally only open August through early October. If you are up for an off season ride, you can still head out that way and very likely have a good road all the way to Glacier.

Directions

Starting from Mount Baker Harley Davidson on 1421 N State St. Bellingham

1. Head southwest on N State St toward E Magnolia St
2. Turn right at the 2nd cross street onto E Holly St
3. Take the 2nd right onto Cornwall Ave
4. Turn right onto Alabama St
5. Turn left onto James St
6. Turn right onto Sunset Dr
7. Continue onto WA-542 E/Mt Baker Hwy
8. Turn right to stay on WA-542 E/Mt Baker Hwy
9. Turn right to stay on WA-542 E/Mt Baker Hwy
10. Turn right onto WA-542/Mt Baker Hwy
11. Keep right at the fork

Continue to follow WA-542 E all the way up the Mountain. Stop where the road ends in a parking long at the top of the world.
