EVERYONE RIDES AT

MT. BAKER HARLEY-DAVIDSON

Greg Head, Owner
Gregory Head, Owner

I am very excited to be the new full-time, hands-on and on-site owner of Mt. Baker Harley-Davidson. I am proud to be a part of a Harley-Davidson dealership that has a long and deep rooted history, and to keep the heritage and tradition of Harley-Davidson riding alive and well in Whatcom County. This is the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the dealership.

I’m from Chicago, but I now call the Pacific Northwest home. My family and I are very excited about the future and raising our family, establishing roots and be a part of the wonderful & beautiful community of Bellingham, Washington. I have been a motorcycle enthusiast most of my life. I’m an U.S. Army veteran of 6 years and a former Police Officer. I’m also a seasoned business owner. But, my last business and career is Mt. Baker Harley-Davidson.

I know how important it is to have a local dealership where you can have a personal relationship with the individuals you trust to work on your bike. As is the case with most any consumer, given the choice I want to do business with a ‘friend’ and a dealership where I can feel welcome and confident that my bike is being repaired according to factory specifications. Where I know it’s going to be done right the first time. A place where customers are friends, and where everyone is comfortable stopping by for some hot coffee and good conversation. This is the dealership I want to do business with, and this is the dealership I’m going to provide.

What kind of rider are you? Do you ride a Sporty? A V-Rod? Do you like to take a month to enjoy the journey on your full dresser, or do you prefer to speed over the pass on your Street Glide? Whatever type of riding you like to do, Harley-Davidson is the brand…and we aspire to be your dealership. Everyone is welcome here…As the owner, I will never be to busy to say hello, shake your hand and share a cup of coffee along with a story or two. So stop-in…I’m eagerly looking forward to personally welcoming you to Mt. Baker Harley-Davidson.

Owning a Harley-Davidson is much more than buying a bike…It’s a way of life. I get that…and now it’s my life’s work!

Cheers, Greg Head

In 1965 at the age of 17 I bought my 1st Harley for $325. It was a 1948 Panhead. Thats when I was hooked on Harley-Davidson! I have a unique mechanical ability. If it has an engine I can fix it. PERIOD!

I started my Harley carrier in 1966 fresh out of high school working at H-D of Seattle. I worked there until 1977. I then went to Lynnwood Cycle Barn until 1999. From there I went to Skagit in 2000 until 2009. Took a few months off and came on board as General Manager at Mt. Baker Harley-Davidson.

I'm proud to be a part of an outstanding team of dedicated people at Mt. Baker Harley-Davidson

Marla LaPlante, MotorClothes Manager
I have enjoyed (and still do) riding my first love a Sportster 1200 XL Custom, but now I spend most of my time riding my new love, which is a 2007 Road King Custom. (I guess I need a bigger garage)

I really love & enjoy working for Mt. Baker Harley-Davidson, the new owner and staff are AWESOME! I strive for my MotorClothes Department to be a most enjoyable and fulfilling experience for all of our customers. Looking forward to meeting old and new friends who come in our shop to see what the Mt Baker Harley-Davidson experience is all about. See you soon, Marla

My 1st Harley I bought new was a 1995 Nostalgia, and I owned it for 14 yrs. I love Harleys, Hotrod muslce cars...anything mechanical. I love working at the dealership and like helping people set-up their dream machine...that is my goal at Mt. Baker Harley-Davidson. Stop by and say hello anytime.

I'm from the "Heart of Harley'dom"...I just moved out here from Wisconsin to join the crew here at Mt. Baker Harley-Davidson. I was born & raised in the shadow of the "Shed". Everyone knows where 3700 Juneau Ave is, I'm from 3700 & 1/2 Juneau Ave...from the bunk above the "Shed". I'm fluent in Harley-Davidson, but it's deeper than a language to me...it's in my DNA.

The last dealership I worked in was Wisconsin Harley-Davidson located in Oconomowoc, WI. I was just a stone's throw away from Milwaukee. I have been an HD mechanic for 8-1/2 years and am currently holding Master Certification. I started riding at 18, soon after I built my first Harley which is a customized 1997 Softail which I still proudly own. I also ride a 2003 Electra Glide Classic. I enjoy riding and occasionally going fishing.

Matt Renfrew, Tech
I swung my leg over my first motorcycle at ten and have never stopped. As part of the Mt Baker Harley-Davidson service team, it is my goal to make sure your ride continues on. I currently ride a customized 1998 FLSTF Fat Boy.
I have enjoyed riding, fishing, and living in the Sierras of Northern California, the Rockies of Montana, and now the Cascades of Washington. Come experience the excellent service and Harley-Davidson lifestyle with the staff of Mt. Baker H-D. See you on the road!

Len Northrup, Tech

I have a 2007 Electra Glide Ultra Classic and a 2007 Softail Deluxe. I am retired, although I am working part-time as I still enjoy turning wrenches and keeping customers happy.
