Sumas Mountain and Mosquito Lake Road

October 24, 2011

Head out East of Bellingham to experience this nice swath of Whatcom County. You get a little of our open farmlands with some open roads on the way up, but once you take a right at the Canadian border it's all winding hills and bordering on mountains.

Mosquito Lake Road is paved and in good shape, but it's more of a long scenic side road than a highway. It takes you up a pass and lands you in Acme. Then head back up north on some long Nooksack River Valley straightaways.
